Cowboys CB Bryan McCann arrested for being drunk in public

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Bryan McCann was arrested early Saturday and charged with public intoxication.

The Dallas Morning News and WFAA-TV reported that McCann was taken to a Dallas detox center at 3 a.m. and that he was released about eight hours later.

Per the report, police must consider an individual to be a danger to themselves or the public to arrest them for public intoxication.

McCann was a rookie from SMU last season. Players like McCann and Minnesota Vikings cornerback Chris Cook, who was charged with brandishing a firearm in Virginia last weekend, transgressions during the lockout could come back to haunt them. The NFL has said it plans to enforce violations of the personal conduct policy once the labor matter is resolved.
