Dolphins signing Michael Thomas off 49ers' practice squad

The Miami Dolphins are signing safety Michael Thomas off of the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad today, according to a source.

Thomas is a 5-foot-11, 196-pounder from Stanford.

He played for 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh at Stanford.

Signed as an undrafted free agent, Thomas spent last year on the 49ers' practice squad before being signed to a reserve-future deal in the offseason and then spending this season on their practice squad again.
