The Philadelphia Eagles challenged Chas Henry to keep his job in preseason with veteran Mat McBriar.
Now, the Eagles are going to make a move at the position as McBriar has agreed to terms on a contract and will sign with the team, replacing Henry.
McBriar, a former Pro Bowl performer for the Dallas Cowboys, was solid in preseason and apparently the Eagles decided it was time to make a move. Henry was averaging 48.3 yards per punt but his net was only 38.0 and that was an issue a year ago.
Henry struggled in a Week 2 win over the Baltimore Ravens.
In full disclosure, McBriar's agent Jack Bechta is a founding partner of the NFP.
