Fisher decision expected next week

Jeff Fisher will decide next week whether to take the St. Louis Rams head coaching job or go with the Miami Dolphins vacancy, according to ESPN.com.

Fisher, who was let go last year by the Tennessee Titans, stayed out of coaching in 2011 and suddenly has become a hot commodity, but apparently has narrowed his choices to St. Louis and Miami.

The belief, according to NFP sources, is that Fisher will take the Rams job, in part because he would be able to have a say in the hiring of a general manager and a potential franchise quarterback is already in place with Sam Bradford.

The Dolphins and owner Stephen Ross might offer more money, but there is also a hierarchy with GM Jeff Ireland and potentially the influence and/or hiring of Carl Peterson in place in Miami. The Dolphins also have a bigger question mark at quarterback with Matt Moore still somewhat unproven after taking over in midseason this year.
