Jaguars make several roster moves

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed three rookies:  punter-kicker Kasey Redfern, wide receiver Nathan Slaughter and long snapper Charley Hughlett.

They cut veteran defensive end Jason Babin and wide receivers Kevin Smith and Brandon Wimberly.

Redfem, Slaughter and Hughlett were at the minicamp on a tryout basis.

Redfern was a four-year letterman at Wofford where he served as a punter and kicker. He made 11 of 19 field goals in his final two seasons including a school-record 53-yarder as a junior.

Slaughter played at West Texas A&M. He finished his career with 174 receptions for 1,978 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Hughlett as a teammate of Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles and running back Storm Johnson at Central Florida. The Tampa native was an All-Conference USA second-team selection as a senior.
