MIAMI, Fla-Buckeyes fans, this could be that extra push you need to land one of the nation’s most coveted recruits.

With National Signing Day less than 24 hours from now, several universities are doing everything in their power to land the country’s top offensive tackle prospect, Seantrel Henderson.

Henderson, a 6’7”, 295-pound five-star recruit from Saint Paul, Minnesota is considering USC, Miami, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Florida.

At Super Bowl Media Day in Miami, Florida this afternoon, I had a chance to talk with former Ohio State Buckeye and current New Orleans Saints cornerback Malcolm Jenkins, who decided to make a recruiting pitch of his own to help his alma mater land the highly-coveted Henderson.

Check it out: (it takes a few seconds to load)

After we shot the video, Jenkins told me, “He’s [Henderson] gotta go to Buckeye Country. There ain’t anything else like it.”

OK, let's see. Go to Ohio State and be adored by a bunch of cooler-poopers in freezing weather for 4 years, and then MAYBE have a shot at becoming a role player in the NFL.

Or go to the one and only NFL U, play in beautiful sunny South Florida, and then be the next NFL PRO BOWLER like one of the 10 guys invited this year (Ray Lewis, Andre Johnson, Frank Gore, Ed Reed, Antrel Rolle, Brandon Meriweather, Jon Beason, Bryant McKinnie, Jon Vilma, Reggie Wayne).

Its simple go to a team that can beat Wisconsin or one that is a bunch of drugged out rejects who will get drummed by another "slow" big 10 team next year.

I'm pretty sure this is a recruiting violation. Former player is considered a booster and is not allowed to recruit for the school. Plus, the last 2 days before signing day is a non-contact period.

Hey Mike, "Slow Big Ten?"

O State over Oregon

Iowa over G Tech

P State over LSU

Wisky over the "U"

Not too slow, huh?

Yeah, answering a question about a recruit is a recruiting violation. You dummy. He didn't contact the recruit or lobby for any sort of contact with him. I guess people aren't even allowed to field questions about high school students any more. Lets sanction the schools that have second generation players on their teams for listening to their fathers, because they were former players.

You have a point, but I am not worried. Meyer put together a great offense without a major running back and I have confidence that he could do the same without a major QB. Brantley is a tough kid and take a few knock downs.
