LeSean McCoy: Michael Vick better than Geno Smith

LeSean McCoy is certainly playing favorites when it comes to the New York Jets' quarterback competition.

The Eagles running back voiced his support for his former teammate, Michael Vick, who signed with the Jets this offseason. He'll compete with second-year quarterback Geno Smith for the starting spot.

McCoy was blunt when asked by the New York Post about the two quarterbacks.

"(Vick's) going to be the Jets' starting QB," McCoy said. "He's way better than Geno Smith. Way better. That's no contest."

Smith struggled as a rookie, throwing 12 touchdowns to 21 interceptions. Vick, meanwhile, lost his starting job in Philadelphia due to injuries and a raised level of play from Nick Foles midway through the season.

Vick should have the upper hand heading into training camp. Smith will need to show a great deal of improvement before the job can be his.
