Marvin Lewis downplays A.J. Green knee injury as minor

Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver A.J. Green had a scare Thursday, twisting his left knee during practice.

Green was down on the ground in pain for a few minutes after landing badly during a sideline pass pattern before getting up, grabbing his knee and then going inside for treatment, according to the Associated Press.

Green was able to walk off under his own power.

And Bengals coach Marvin Lewis downplayed the injury to the Pro Bowl wideout.

"I think he's fine," Lewis said. "They went inside just so they can take a look, but I think he's fine. He just twisted himself, one of A.J.'s contortions."
