No gun found in search for murder weapon in Aaron Hernandez case
Law enforcement officials were unsuccessful in their search of a Connecticut pond for the gun they think was utilized in the murder of Odin Lloyd, the man former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez stands accused of killing.
Authorities suspect that Hernandez killed Lloyd with a .45-caliber handgun. They searched a pond near the home of the uncle of Hernandez in Bristol, Conn., Hernandez's hometown.
"No evidence was recovered and, at the present time, no more dives are planned," Lt. Kevin Morrell told reporters.
Hernandez remains in jail without bail.
