Safety Jairus Byrd will not be among the players on the field when the Buffalo Bills begin training camp this weekend, says the Buffalo News.

The Bills placed the $6.9 million franchise tag on Byrd earlier in the off-season, and the safety's only leverage now that the negotiation window has closed, is to stay away from training camp until the last possible minute, which could be as late as the week before the first regular-season game.
