Packers place Randall Cobb on injured reserve-designated to return

The Green Bay Packers placed starting wide receiver Randall Cobb on injured reserve-designated to return, meaning he'll miss at least eight games.

Cobb broke his fibula against the Baltimore Ravens during a 19-17 win.

He's not allowed to practice for six weeks.

Reserve offensive lineman Greg Van Roten was placed on injured reserve with a foot injury.

Wide receiver Myles White and tight end Jake Stoneburner were promoted from the practice squad to the active roster.

The Packers are also dealing with a sprained knee for wide receiver James Jones.

The Packers signed linebacker Victor Aiyewa to the practice squad.
