Redskins' PR man 'abruptly' leaves organization

Another one has headed out the door in Washington.

Zack Bolno, the Redskins’ executive director of communications for the last two seasons, has “abruptly left” the franchse, reports Jason Reid of the Washington Post.

Bolno worked the team’s game Saturday night against the Baltimore Ravens at FedEx Field. By this afternoon, he was gone and Tony Wyllie, hired in May as a senior vice president overseeing public relations, among other things, would not comment on the matter.

Bolno was well liked by media and it should be noted that the addition of Wyllie in the spring was hailed as a positive step by Redskins owner Daniel Snyder. Bolno had to work through difficult times during the Jim Zorn era. Per Reid, Wyllie has retained some members of Bolno’s staff, giving a promotion to Matt Taylor. Wyllie came to the Redskins after a successful stint with the Houston Texans.
