Earlier this offseason, 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh stated that one of the team's top priorities was to extend quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Hold that thought for a moment.

With Kaepernick one of three subjects in a Miami investigation, contract talks have come to a halt for the time being, reports the NFL Network. In addition to Kaepernick, 49ers receiver Quinton Patton and Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette were named in an April 4 incident report.

It's unclear where the investigation in Miami is headed. TMZ initially reported that Kaepernick was being investigated for a potential sexual assault, which Kaepernick vehemently denied in a statement.
