Seattle LB Hill arrested, charged with domestic violence

At least Leroy Hill put a portion of his 2010 season in jeopardy before the draft so the Seattle Seahawks can consider alternative options at linebacker.

Otherwise, there was no good news when word got out this afternoon that Hill was picked up by Issaquah (Wash.) police over the weekend for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.

Police responded to Hill’s residence at 11:55 p.m. Saturday after receiving a complaint of domestic abuse, according to KIRO-TV. Hill’s girlfriend had marks and injuries that indicated an assault had taken place.

Per the report, Hill was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault and domestic violence.

Here is where it could potentially get messy for Hill: He’s on probation right now after pleading guilty to misdemeanor marijuana possession. He was arrested last year on that charge and is already in line to potentially be disciplined by the league for that misstep. The league might have to wait to get its hands on Hill if the court rules that he violated terms of his probation following the latest arrest.

It’s no way to make an impression on a new front office and coaching staff.
