Sebastian Vollmer to have surgery

The New England Patriots will have to run their offense withourt right tackle Sebastian Vollmer for the time being.

According to a report from the Boston Herald, Vollmer will have surgery to repair a broken leg sustained during Sunday's win over the Miami Dolphins. Vollmer had to be carted off the field after the injury occurred.

It's unknown if this will force Vollmer to miss the rest of the season. He is ineligible for the short-term injured reserve tag because the Patriots used it on running back Shane Vereen earlier this season.
