Source: DeWayne Cherrington visited Cardinals, Seahawks

Former New England Patriots defensive lineman DeWayne Cherrington recently visited the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks, according to a league source.

Cherrington was released by the Patriots in June.

Cherrington visited the Baltimore Ravens prior to the NFL draft.

Cherrington is a 6-foot-3, 335-pounder from Mississippi State who earned a scholarship after walking on following a stint at Holmes Community College.

He bench pressed 225 pounds 36 times at his campus Pro Day workout.

A native of Gwinnett, Ga., Cherrington is known for occupying blockers to allow linebackers to get to the football.
