Duke linebacker Vincent Rey is scheduled to work out for the New York Giants on April 8, according to a league source.
The 6’0”, 240-pound linebacker from Far Rockaway, NY recorded 90 tackles (40 solo), two interceptions and one sack for the 5-7 Blue Devils in 2009. For his career, Rey racked up 431 stops with seven forced fumbles, seven sacks and three interceptions.
In addition to working out for the Giants, Rey will meet with the San Francisco 49ers next week in North Carolina.
At Duke’s pro day on March 22, Rey ran a 4.54 and 4.58 40-yard-dash and 4.20 short shuttle. He also posted a 38.5 vertical jump, 10-6 broad jump and 20 reps on the bench press.
