Source: Norwood to meet with Saints, Falcons
South Carolina linebacker Eric Norwood has an upcoming meeting scheduled with the New Orleans Saints, per a league source.
The 6’1”, 245-pound senior recorded 81 tackles (54 solo), seven sacks, two interceptions and one touchdown for the 7-6 Gamecocks in 2009. Norwood finished his four-year career at South Carolina with 254 tackles and 29 sacks.
In addition to meeting with the Saints, the 22-year-old also has an upcoming workout with the Atlanta Falcons.
The NFP's No. 5-ranked outside linebacker prospect, Norwood ran a 4.72 40-yard-dash at February’s combine and recorded one tackle in January’s Senior Bowl.
Norwood--who is South Carolina’s all-time leader in sacks, with 29--produced one of his best collegiate games in a 38-23 win over Kentucky in 2007 when he returned two fumbles for touchdowns against the Wildcats.
