Sources: Michigan State corner Trae Waynes visits Jaguars, Bears, Vikings

Michigan State star cornerback Trae Waynes, the consensus top corner in the NFL draft, has visits with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Chicago Bears and the Minnesota Vikings, according to sources. Waynes ran the 40-yard dash in 4.31 seconds at the NFL scouting combine where he also bench pressed 225 pounds 19 times and had a 38-inch vertical leap. He had a 4.19 short shuttle at the Spartans' Pro Day workout. The 6-foot, 186-pounder was an All-Big Ten Conference selection who was a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award. Waynes had 46 tackles, three interceptions, a sack and eight pass breakups last season. Waynes was named the Spartan's most improved defensive player in 2013. Growing up in Kenosha, Wis., Waynes was an all-state selection who ran a 4.37 in the 40-yard dash and also starred in baseball and track and won indoor track championships. The fastest cornerback at the combine, Waynes excels in press coverage and has the length, physicality and speed to shut down wide receivers. He's also a jarring tackler.
