Sources: Wide receiver Marcus Thigpen joins Colts

The Indianapolis Colts have signed former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Marcus Thigpen, according to sources. The Colts cut quarterback Josh Johnson to create a roster spot for him. Thigpen has previous stints with the Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills, Sasketchewan Roughriders and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Thigpen was claimed off waivers by the Bills then released when they signed Denarius Moore. Thigpen had a 75-yard punt return for a touchdown in a Bills win over the Green Bay Packers in 2014. Thigpen has 4.3 speed in the 40-yard dash. He played collegiately at Indiana. Thigpen also ran track for the Hoosiers, running the 100 meters in 10.34 seconds and the 60 meters in 6.77 seconds.
