With concerns about the health of Jahvid Best, who suffered his second concussion of the season on Sunday, the Detroit Lions acquired running back Ronnie Brown in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Lions dealt running back Jerome Harrison and a 2013 draft pick in order to bring Brown on board.
It’s the second tour of duty in Philadelphia for Harrison, who the Eagles picked up from the Cleveland Browns in a trade last year. Brown goes to a place where he may have more of a chance to play now that he’s not behind LeSean McCoy. Harrison is familiar with the Eagles system so he should fit in quickly.
