After being courted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, veteran assistant coach Tony Sparano is remaining with the Oakland Raiders.
The Raiders announced that Sparano has signed a two-year contract.
He will remain the Raiders' assistant head coach and offensive line coach.
There had been a disconnect between Raiders owner Mark Davis and several assistant coaches who wanted two-year deals rather than one-year contracts.
Apparently, that conflict has been resolved, at least for Sparano.
Davis announced earlier this week that head coach Dennis Allen is returning.
