Bills cut veteran linebacker Keith Rivers

The Buffalo Bills cut veteran linebacker Keith Rivers. Rivers' release saves $1.7 million in salary-cap room. Rivers was starting before he hurt his groin and was replaced by Preston Brown. Rivers signed a two-year contract with the Bills last season. Rivers is a former Cincinnati Bengals first-round pick from USC. He's also played for the New York Giants. He had just 16 tackles last season. The Bills get back Kiko Alonso from an injury last season. They could also bring back Brandon Spikes, a free agent.
