Cardinals outlast Rams

The Arizona Cardinals outlasted the St. Louis Rams during a 12-6 victory.

The Cardinals won despite quarterback Drew Stanton hurting his knee on a hit by rookie Aaron Donald.

"Everybody talking all that stuff about how great their defense is, they saw a good defense tonight," Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said. "It was in red and white."

The Cardinals swept the Rams, allowing just 20 points in those wins.

Chandler Catanzaro kicked four field goals and Larry Foote had a sack and fumble recovery.

Arians said Stanton had a previous knee injury so will need an MRI exam to determine the extent of the damage.

"We'll take it very slowly with him and see how it goes," Arians said.
