Colts sign Darius Butler to extension

The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to terms with cornerback Darius Butler on a contract extension. Terms weren't disclosed. Over the past three seasons, Butler has 129 tackles, 30 passes defensed, eight interceptions, including three returned for touchdowns, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in 41 games with 15 starts. From 2012 to 2013, Butler led all AFC cornerbacks with eight interceptions and led the team with four interceptions each year. In 2014, he played in 14 games with four starts and recorded 47 tackles, eight passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. For his six-year NFL career with Indianapolis, Carolina (2011) and New England (2009-2010), Butler has 219 tackles and 11 interceptions.
