In a case that dragged on far longer than anyone originally expected, Green Bay Packers defensive back Brandon Underwood has entered a no-contest plea to one count of prostitution non-marital sexual intercourse.

Lori Nickel of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Lake Delton, Wis., police announced today that Underwood had entered the plea stemming from an incident last June. If you recall, originally police investigated a matter involving Underwood and two Wisconsin women last summer and it was announced that no charges were expected to result.

That changed, however, and Underwood wound up facing prosecution from the incident in the Dells, a popular resort area. Other Packers were present at the resort when this occurred, but Underwood was the only player ever discussed. The women accused Underwood of sexual assault.

"He admitted to sexual contact and activity," police chief Thomas Dorner told the Journal Sentinel during the summer. "The women said it was a sexual assault; he says it was consensual."

Per the report, Underwood appeared in court and entered his plea. He was found guilty and fined $379.
