Will Felix Jones play? Might depend on Giants-Jets game

The playoff situation for the Dallas Cowboys is linked closely to the outcome of the New York Giants’ game, which kicks off at 1 p.m. EST.

So, before the Cowboys get going in a late-afternoon meeting with the Philadelphia Eagles, they will know if the Giants have prevailed at MetLife Stadium against the New York Jets. And, according to Matt Mosley of Fox Sports Southwest, the outcome of that game will have a lot to do with whether or not Felix Jones plays for the Cowboys.

Per the report, Jones will not suit up if the Giants win because the game will then be meaningless to the Cowboys. Jones is questionable with a hamstring injury and has not practiced this week. If the Jets prevail, giving the Cowboys an opportunity to take further control of the NFC East, Mosley reports Jones will truly be questionable – it’s 50/50 if he suits up.
