Prone to dropped passes, admitted out of shape earlier this offseason and labeled with the nickname "Question Mark," it has been a rough offseason for talented Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt.
Just ask him about his regression.
"It has been horrible,'' Britt told the Tennessean. "I am disappointed in myself. I know I have to get better. They expect me to get better. And that's what I plan on doing.''
Britt insists he's going to turn it around and prove people wrong, including quarterback Vince Young who uses his nickname during practice sessions.
"He might be kidding, but he said everyone has that above my head, that everyone wants to know what Kenny Britt is going to do next year," Britt said. "But that's OK. My answer to him is, 'Stick with me, and you'll be going places.' ''
Britt caught 42 passes for 701 yards last season.
The Titans expect a lot more out of Britt, though.
"I'll be very interested to see if he goes and works on them and stays in shape and does what he is supposed to do to get better, and get healthy for two-a-days," Titans offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger said. "Or is he going to come in and we're going to have to start all over again like he did in the beginning at OTAs because he was out of shape? That is part of being a pro. We'll see how he handles himself, I guess.''
