The New Orleans Saints have agreed to a four-year deal with fifth-round rookie offensive lineman Matt Tennant, according to a league source.
Terms weren't disclosed, but it's believed the total base value of the deal is roughly $1.96 million.
The former Boston College center received the standard base salaries of $320,000, $405,000, $490,000 and $575,000, a signing bonus in the neighborhood of $174,000 as well as a fourth-year escalator clause that can significantly boost the maximum value of the deal.
Tennant bench pressed 225 pounds 27 times at the NFL scouting combine, also clocking a 5.16 in the 40-yard dash.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pounder started for three years for the Eagles, including a run of 41 games in a row.
He was a Rimington Trophy finalist who played in the Senior Bowl.
