Eagles outside linebacker could wind up in Cleveland Aaron Wilson
Star quarterback Donovan McNabb isn't the only Philadelphia Eagles player who's on the trading block.
According to an NFL source with knowledge of the situation, the Eagles have held preliminary discussions with the Cleveland Browns about trading outside linebacker Chris Gocong to the AFC North franchise.
No deal is imminent, but we've been told authoritatively that the rumors are more than mere rumors and that talks are expected to continue heading into the NFL draft.
Gocong, a restricted free agent who has signed his $1.176 million one-year tender, is a former Eagles third-round draft pick
Gocong was replaced as the starting outside linebacker by rookie Moise Fokou at the end of last season.
Gocong is regarded as a good fit for the Browns' 3-4 scheme.
Gocong dealt with quadriceps and hamstring injuries last season
During the annual league meetings, Eagles coach Andy Reid predicted a competition between Gocong and Fokou for the job.
For his career, Gocong has registered 169 career tackles and four sacks.
Last season, he recorded 44 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.
