The Jacksonville Jaguars have finally avoided having a game blacked out on local television.
The mayor of Jacksonville John Peyton and Touchdown Jacksonville leader Carl Cannon made the announcement today that Thursday's game against the Indianapolis Colts will be televised locally.
“This movement is getting traction in our community,” Peyton said.
All of the Jaguars' other games have been blacked out.
“We’ve been labeled as having too many blackouts, but I believe we’re now headed in the right direction and soon there won’t be any,” Cannon said.
The Jaguars continue to be the subject of rumors that the team could be moved to Los Angeles eventually if the city continues to not support its football team.
They'll need more than one sellout to salvage their economic future in North Florida.
