University of Michigan defensive end-outside linebacker Brandon Graham recorded 10 1/2 sacks last season and led the nation with 26 tackles for losses.

And he displayed a mean streak and ideal quickness at the line of scrimmage all week at the Senior Bowl.

Graham dominated when it counted today at the Senior Bowl, helping the North to a 31-13 victory over the South at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile. Ala. He was named the Senior Bowl's Defensive Most Valuable Player.

Using a quick first snap, Graham generated five tackles and two sacks as he forced Oklahoma State quarterback Zac Robinson to fumble

Meanwhile, University of Cincinnati wide receiver Mardy Gilyard had a strong game for the North with five receptions for 102 yards and one touchdown as he rebounded from an up-and-down week of practice.

GIlyard was named the Offensive MVP.

He caught a 32-yard touchdown pass from Central Michigan's Dan LeFevour. He also set up a third-quarter touchdown with a 43-yard catch down the right sideline from LeFevour.

Gilyard was able to create separation behind the secondary with solid acceleration and patterns.

USC safety Taylor Mays had an interception after a quiet week of practice where his playmaking ability was questioned by analysts, including NFL Network's Mike Mayock.

Missouri linebacker Sean Weatherspoon intercepted a pass and was active in run support and on special teams.

Mississippi State linebacker Jamar Chaney was aggressive in pursuit, too.

Bruising Oregon running back LaGarrette Blount turned in an impressive 14-yard touchdown. He's a tough north-south runner.

University of Tennessee defensive lineman Dan Williams is a force inside.

If Alabama defensive tackle Terrence "Mount" Cody improves his conditioning and drops some weight from his 370-pound girth, he could be a big factor in the NFL as a 3-4 nose guard anchor.
